The Circle of Love Worksheet or MAP helps you plan your client engagement for the next few months. Someone once asked me what the Circle of Love means, apart from being a catchy name. I assumed everyone saw what I saw when using the term, but here's my perspective:
People come onto your list, perhaps by downloading a project planning pack from you. After that, you need a way to stay in touch with them. You need a system to educate them on what it's like to be your client and how to be a good client. You also need to nurture them because they will only take the next step when they're ready. Just because they've downloaded a project planning pack doesn't mean they're ready to meet with you and start spending money. They might not be ready for another 6, 12, or even 3 years. We need a Circle of Love system in place to keep in touch, constantly add value, and allow them to take the next step when they're ready.
The Circle of Love Worksheet helps you brainstorm and plan your content. For example, in January, February, March, and April, you might decide to send out a newsletter, post a question of the week on social media, and answer common questions. This content should address questions like "How much will it cost?" "How long will it take?" and "Are there any legal issues?"
You can use this content in various formats: monthly newsletters, social media posts, and more. Each piece of content should provide value and include an invitation to take the next step, such as booking a meeting. For instance, after answering a question, you might invite them to call your office for a 20-minute discussion to get a more accurate view of their project's total cost.
The goal is to keep adding value and stay top of mind. This way, when they are ready, they will take the next step because they remember you and the value you've provided. This worksheet is a simple planning tool to ensure you're consistently engaging with your prospects and clients, moving them forward, and maintaining a steady flow of valuable content.
