And then I'll show you a bit more on the image generative tools and which I guess software is that I use for my workflow and I'll show

So that's chat GPTM perplexity. And I'll show you PromiAI today and I'll show you a bit Photoshop generative tools as well. And then at the end, it's either we go to questions or we can talk about AI. Introduction. So, yeah, last week we spoke about the text generation. This week,
01:50 - 02:32 Arthur Stefenberg: image generation. So again, I've actually spoken with my partner's dad over Easter about AI and he used to be in IT. And we just spoke about how, you know, some people are very confused about AI, they think it's some kind of artificial intelligence, but it's really just still algorithms. It's not, it doesn't have a mind of its own yet. It's it, but it's it produces quite impressive results, I guess. And image generation, it's basically the software understands different objects, you know, like a dog or a road or a footpath, and then when you type in what

So that's all it is at the moment. It doesn't actually have any intelligence behind it from just the algorithms. And so how do we work with AI? I would just encourage everyone, if you haven't tried it yet, I would just get into it. It's pretty easy, try ChattGPD or perplexity, it's free. You can just quickly type something into it and see the power of it. And then with image generation, I'll show you the

So it used to be PromiAI.com, but this morning I've just realized I was trying to access it, but I think they've changed it to PromeAI.pro. And so when you go on the website, this is what it looks like. And so the first thing that you'll do is you'll just go and log in and it's free to log in. So I just log in with my Google account. And when I

Are you an interior designer or a landscape designer or just a graphics designer, I think. And then, so this 1 is kind of specifically designed for architects and designers, interior designers, landscape designers, so it's quite handy because, you know, a lot of the other image generative tools, They're not designed for

So the 8 key tools that I use in the software are sketch rendering. So you just take a sketch, upload a sketch and it turns it into rendering. AI image generation, so type in a prompt, say anything and it will create an image. Creative Fusion, I use that 1 quite a lot because you can take 2 images and mash them together and it kind of creates a very unique image to your specific settings. Image
05:14 - 05:48 Arthur Stefenberg: Variation, I use quite a lot as well because sometimes I have an idea and I'm trying to develop other ideas or I'm trying to develop the design and I just kind of create additional variations of the same design by adding prompts to it. Photo to sketch is really great as well so if you've taken a photo or you have an old project that's been designed you can take the photo drop it in and it turns it into a sketch looking thing a sketch that you can then you know put it on your website you can use

Erase and replace also a really powerful tool so when you have a rendering and you want to replace a foreground or you want to replace the whole facade you can see in this image here I've selected the whole ram-direct wall and then I would type in the prompts and change it to stone wall or whatever I want. I was just typing here, pretty big into rammed earth these days and so I just typed in this rammed earth interior design and it kind of came up with a really cool little video snippet. And again, you can use it for your marketing, put

So this 1 I've just created for demonstration purpose. I've done it really quickly in Photoshop, just drawing a couple of lines, added some windows and sort

With this software, I think Mid Journey has all sorts of rules for the way you would write prompts, but what I found with Prom.AI, it's just really, you're just describing what you're trying to, what you want to see in the image. And so the more detail, for example, if you're just an early concept, like for example, this sketch, I still don't know what it's going to be, what it's going to look like. I'm adding

So when I click, so it's asking you to tell it what kind of style image do you want this to be. And this is quite handy because, you know, you can go to and you can say realistic, natural, cinematic, commercial, fantasy. So that will kind of, and you can see I'm going to scroll down, you can pick so many different styles of what this image will look

So it's just gonna base it on my prompt. So I'll just add here, photo realistic. Then scene, oh, here you go. So when you click on scene, this is a bit changed. I think they've got a new website and they've updated some of these settings. But you can see here scene, so you've got architecture, you can actually go into architecture and say building, villa, residence building, commercial building, public building. So I'll

You can see there's all these settings for interior designs, commercial spaces, floor plans, landscape design, or I think there are some landscape designers on the group, fashion design, furniture, as you can see here, packaging, it's just so much stuff in here. And it just helps you navigate your prompts. So by adding these settings, it's almost like it's going to write a prompt in the background and say, make it a villa. And it will add all sorts of background prompts. Then mode. So this 1 is really

So it says, preserve most of the outline with some creativity because when I do a sketch when you do it with mid-journey it will kind of change your windows it will change even potentially the shape of your sketch. So here you can quite well control the sketch itself, the line work of the sketch. So I usually just go with preserve most of the outline with some creativity depth suited for real-life photography or 3d model screenshots so if you

Or if you have any models that you make during the concept phase, you can upload them and turn them into, you know, realistic looking renderings. Precision concept, retaining precise detail while preserving a wealth of imaginative power. Sorry, just, oh, here you go. So you can see, sorry, I think this app just changed. So there's version 1, which is
14:53 - 15:34 Arthur Stefenberg: the 1 I'm used to, and there is a version 2. So when you click to version 1, so you can see in mode, there's actually way more settings. So there's precision, outline, soft edges, concept, depth, precision, concept, depth, concept. In version 2, for some reason, they've removed a lot of those settings. Maybe people just don't use them. But let's say we're in version 1, and I would just say preserve most of the outline with some creativity, right? And then references, so you can even add a reference image that it will use to create the image. And
15:34 - 16:14 Arthur Stefenberg: I've got a photo of a water hole that I took here in Sydney. I'll just use this as my reference. Then negative prompts, which is handy as well. So if you don't wanna see something, So let's say you really don't want to see, you know, paved pathways. So then you can just add that in case it kind of, you know, does something and creates a paved Pathway. And then you've got, so you can see here there are credits. So I'm currently using the free version. So you've got credits to play around with these image creations. But
16:14 - 16:43 Arthur Stefenberg: if you go to professional, I thought you have to pay for it, but you can see the standard 1, it creates an image that doesn't really have much detail. So you can see a window behind it actually doesn't have any mullions. It doesn't have much detail. But if you use the professional, which uses more credits from what I understand, it will create more detail. So it's up to you. If you're early in a design, you just wanna kind of play around and see what it comes up with. You can go with standard, but let's just say
16:43 - 17:20 Arthur Stefenberg: we go with professional And then your plan has expired, you see. So it basically prompts me. So let's go with normal 1. And then there you go. It starts to generate them. It goes quite quick, as you can see. And you can see there are some old versions of me trying to turn this sketch into an image. So here you go, so you can see, so it took the prompt of pond, so you can see there's some kind of water, probably I imagined it to be smaller and maybe more discreet here on the side so then
17:20 - 18:05 Arthur Stefenberg: you can kind of go and try and adjust your prompt and say no it's a small pond to the left of the image or something like that and kind of try and get in and give it a much clearer direction of how it will look like. So let me just see what that will do. Pond in the foreground. I'll just say small, small pond on in the foreground to the left. And that's the only adjustment that I will do for now. I'll just click generate again and see what happens with this image. But you can see
18:05 - 18:42 Arthur Stefenberg: it put vertical timber cladding, it kept my windows in the right positions due to the settings that we've submitted. So you can see the again, so it's not really identifying what I'm trying to tell it. So it's not really doing what I want it to do. And that's the unpredictability of AI. So you can see 1 of the images that I created, there's actually no pond, second 1 no pond, just the Australian bush, and then third 1 is a really big pond, so it sort of sits in the pond. I'm going to try and say small
18:42 - 19:24 Arthur Stefenberg: pond to the left, generate again, and again, You know, just play with it, have fun with it, and I'm just showing you how I would kind of potentially use it. Oh, yeah, well, really random. So that's probably where I was going with my idea, having a little pond to the left, not to the right. So again, you can see how this AI stuff is very unpredictable. However, it looks, you know, and that just shows you the power of it. In just a couple of seconds, you can turn your sketch with accurate windows. There's a deck, there's

And this is a very low quality image at the moment because this is the free version. If you want proper high definition ones then you have to pay for it which is I think it's 35 American dollars that what it used to be for a month and then you've got you know quite a lot of tests to play with but yeah quite impressive let me just go back to then this so again again I've highlighted in this PDF all the

So you've got prompts, positive, negative, you've got the standard and professional, and then you go generate. And actually that was the first image that I created. I probably used different prompts and it created a completely different image last time I played with it. AI image generation, so let's go back to this website. So here again on the left hand side, I'm just going AI image generation. So let's say you have no sketch, you just want to type in some prompts. Again, it's got all
20:44 - 21:24 Arthur Stefenberg: the different settings. So it's got a style, it's got a prompt, negative prompts, the positive prompts you type in the box, then it's got the size of the image. So you can see there's quite a lot of different sizes. And then artistry. So how creative do you want AI to sort of setting to be when it's using your prompt? And this prompt here, so you can see, so what I've done, I've just actually went to Chad GPT and I said, can you write me a prompt for image generative AI for a traditional house in nature, contemporary
21:24 - 22:08 Arthur Stefenberg: house made of concrete on a cliff, a futuristic house sitting next to a lake, and then it kind of creates a prompt for you. So Zia, really easily you can just go describe what you want in ChartGP. It will create a paragraph or a couple of sentences for you, copy, paste it into prompt into a Promi AI for example, and then you'll then start getting images. So that 1 is Creative Fusion. So let's just go here. Again, let's just go again, so the image generator, it's just super random. Actually, I think this is an image. So
22:09 - 23:07 Arthur Stefenberg: traditional house in nature. So let's just say traditional house in nature. We could say evening light with interior lights on, family, playing with dog, in the foreground. You know, again, it's up to you. And again, you can use ChatGPD to create your prompts and, you know, add way more detail to the prompt and see what images it creates for you. It's quite impressive, you know, with just, I don't know, what is it, 15 words, it creates quite an impressive image, which is again at the very low quality, but if you pay for it, then you'll get

23:40 - 24:09 Arthur Stefenberg: Yeah, I think there is a whole art to it in mid journey. So if anyone's using mid journey, I'm sure they can tell us all about the prompts. But in this 1, again, I'm mainly using it sketched to rendering. And as you've seen now, I'm just typing what I want to see. And there is a negative and positive. So when you're creating an image, if you're seeing in the image something that you don't want, you go into the negative box and you try and remove it. Like you've seen, I tried to put a pond on the
24:09 - 24:42 Arthur Stefenberg: left-hand side, it was actually putting a pond on the right-hand side. So I would just continually recreate. So it's when you play with AI, I guess you create so many images and it just keeps going and keeps going. And sometimes I even take, sometimes I cannot get what I want because that's how unpredictable it is. And I would take 2 different images and put them into Photoshop and try and sort of you know Photoshop them together. So if I wanted that pond on the left hand side maybe I would have taken that image dropped it into

Will it apply exact material as you imagine? Probably not. It will put in all sorts of materials on it. Might add wood, it might, you know, you could describe all furniture is metal, made out of metal or glass or wood or it's fabric or

But if you have different pieces of furniture, you might kind of try and create prompts and then you'll have to mash a couple of images in Photoshop later if you've got very specific furniture pieces. Because they are building all these plugins for Revit and other 3D software where I guess it will start detecting what materiality is already on the objects and it will just hopefully make it even better and more photorealistic. I'll just go through these, through the PDF to just speed up the time. But so yeah, you can, this is basically means you can put 2 images together, mash them together and make another image. So there's some style so you can use already a library of different images or it's also got those settings that you've just seen for sketch rendering. So is it outline, is soft edges, is it concept, how

And you can see here, so what I've done, I've taken that sketch, I turned it into a photorealistic rendering, and then I added another image to it, which is just a water hole here in Sydney, a photograph that I took. And that's kind of how I try and make my images very unique to a certain location. And then you can see, so those 2 images were kind of put together. I think
29:25 - 29:59 Arthur Stefenberg: I've added a little bit of prompting, but you can see it sort of begins to, again, this is quite a crazy image, but I would then take this image and then do another variation of it another variation but this is just the first pass so it's not like you you get your ideal image right away you kind of have to keep going with it and keep playing with it. But you can see there are some similarities of the way the cliff, the way the rocks look like. Maybe the water is kind of, you know, that murky

So it starts to kind of create an image that's very specific to your reference photograph or reference other image that you know, maybe you want to use another architect or another design that you've done before and you want to kind of mash them together, which is quite cool. So then another tool is image variation. I use that 1 quite a lot. So that's what I've done here. So I took that image, that sketch, I turn it into this image and then image variation. I upload that

And here, settings get quite simple because all you're setting AI to do is how much creativity you're adding to it and what additional prompt you're adding to it. And I think for this image here I've just added contemporary villa design and it kind of took away my diagonals and created something probably that I would probably not go with this option. I would stick with my diagonal because that was potentially part of my concept or something. But you can just
31:15 - 31:53 Arthur Stefenberg: see how the image variation creates just another design variation and you can go and create as many as you want. Photo to sketch, also something that I use quite a lot. When I was actually building my website I had all these projects that I've done and I would just add those photographs that I had into it and turn them into sketches and added them to various pages and just looks like you have a handcrafted hand sketch and it just looks good you know because obviously everyone loves hand-drawn sketches. And again, so there's, you know, there are

So you've got design sketch, art sketch, you got rendering mode, so precise or outline, outline, and then you've got prompts, positive, negative, and then you hit generate. So for an example, I took that, again, that sketch that I turned into rendering and then turned it back into sketch. And so you can see it's again, it created what looks like some kind of mountain on the background, which was just some clouds. Probably if that's not ideal, I would go in to Photoshop and try and kind of delete some of the stuff that I

So it just takes a bit of time, but it's basically, so you can see here, I'm just hovering and I'm able to

And so let's say this looks like, you know, manicured lawn greenery in the foreground, and that's not what I want. I want actually to put some flowers in here. And so performance action on the selection area, replace, remove, retouch, recolor. So I would just say, replace if that's what I want. And, and Zia, maybe, Maybe this is a good tool then for you to create an image first, then drop it into Erase and Replace, and then just select a

This is a timber chair or this is a fabric chair and you can describe whatever fabric you're using on it. So let's just say I wanna replace it with flower beds. Let's just see what it does. Because it's a free version so you can see it's then takes a bit of time because it's using someone else's computer from what I understand. So it's a bit slow here, but while we're
